Sunday, October 3<br>Citizens and friends of Davis will pedal through history to set the <a href="http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/records/travel_and_transport/bikes_and_motorbikes/largest_parade_of_bicycles.aspx#" title="Guinness record for Largest Parade of Bicycles" target="_blank">Guinness World Record</a> for the Longest Single Line of Bicycles. All proceeds from this event will go to the Davis Schools Foundation.<div class="gmail_quote">

<br>If so, you are invited to a fun potluck gathering of a great subset of bike people in Davis -- those who have written for or supported the Davis Bicycles! column in The Davis Enterprise.  And feel free to bring family or others interested in contributing to the column.<br>


<br><div style="margin-left: 40px;">When: 5 pm Sunday, September 12th<br>Where: 43351 Almond Lane, home of Mont Hubbard and Lyn Taylor<br>What to bring for potluck: Whatever you want to eat, and Davis Bicycles! will supply the drinks, and Hubbard-Taylors will supply the utensils, plates and glasses.<br>

<br>We started the column in November 2008, and since that time just shy of 50 columns have appeared in the paper.  This has been an exceptional contribution to bike culture in Davis. Our team to produce the column has been led by Joe Krovoza, recently elected to the Davis City Council. With his new responsibilities as an elected official, Joe can no longer play more than a minor role in the column. Thus we are having a potluck for anyone who would like to work to ensure that the column continues.<br>


<br>During the potluck we'll discuss the future of the column and collect everyone's idea for how its success can continue:  A book?  Syndication?  Push it out on the web more aggressively?  Great column topics?  Column archives are located at: <a href="http://www.davisbicycles.org/column/" target="_blank">http://www.davisbicycles.org/column/</a> and at <a href="http://www.bikedavis.info/?cat=38" target="_blank">http://www.bikedavis.info/?cat=38</a>.<br>
