[DB!-Announce] Volunteers needed for UCD campus bike count Wed. 6/3

Please respond to David Takemoto-Weerts <dltakemotoweerts at ucdavis.edu> if
you can help with this parking count.

On Wednesday, June 3, TAPS is doing a "bicycle parking utilization survey"
on campus. We did this for the first time last year. It involves two shifts,
one from 10 - 11 am and one from 2 - 3 pm. During that time you would be
assigned a relatively small section of the campus, given a map of the area,
and asked to count all the bikes parked within the section during the time
that classes are in session (e.g. 10 - 10:50 am and 2:10 - 3 pm). This year
the sections will be smaller than last year, so will be easier to complete
in the allotted time. However, because the sections are smaller, I'll need
MORE help than last year. I'll be getting other students, TAPS staff and
others, but your help would be greatly appreciated. You can work either
shift or both. And, you really can do the work in an hour. However, I'd want
you here at TAPS about one half hour before the count begins so I can
explain it all. However, it's also possible, if your schedule is very tight,
that I could get the maps and instructions to you in advance and you could
just show up at your assigned section and do the count. You can return the
results to me later in the day, next day, whatever.

So, let me know as soon as possible if you're available and what shifts
you'd like.
