*Welcome to the April Davis Bicycles! Announcements*.
May may be bike month, but April has lots going on and March was fun too,
with a couple of notable DB! sponsored activities:
On March 6, renowned street designer Dan Burden showed a packed Community
Chambers audience examples from over 50 streets all across America that have
received the “road diet” treatment, all to great success. If you missed the
workshop, you can still view a streaming video of it at Davis Media
Access<http://davismedia.org/content/5th-street-design-workshop>.
Davis Bicycles! supports the road diet (complete street solution) for
Fifth Street through downtown Davis, also described in this presentation.
On March 14, Davis Bicycles! members enjoyed a fun ride of the proposed North
Davis Bike Loop<http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=114372970152339483365.000464ef0b3c849aec7b0&ll=38.569039,-121.753879&spn=0.015032,0.027637&z=15>with
city bike/ped coordinator Tara Goddard. The loop is up for approval by
the BAC at its next meeting (see below), so try it out yourself and be sure
to join the inaugural ride coming up in May.
