*Welcome to the March Davis Bicycles! Announcements*.

February was surprisingly full of bike events for such a cold dark month.
Until just recently March was looking very quiet in comparison, but now a
number of exciting meetings and events have surfaced.

*Davis Bicycles is proud to be a co-sponsor of a brownbag workshop by Dan
Burden on Street Design*
This Friday, March 6th, 11:30-1:00
Davis City Council Chambers, 23 Russell Blvd.
Dan is the absolute best in the field, and has worked with many communities
to help them with their dangerous streets. If anyone can help get all sides
to see the benefit of a complete street solution, he is the one. You can
learn more about him here: http://www.walkable.org/about.html

Davis Bicycles! has decided to officially endorse a complete street solution
to 5th Street as outlined in the oped piece by the Old North Davis
Neighborhood Association in the February 13 edition of the Enterprise. For
more information please see our 5th Street web page:
http://www.davisbicycles.org/projects/5thstreet/

*March's DB! project meeting* will focus on beginning to understand the bike
connections between the new UC Davis West Village development and the City.
A date will be set for late March. If you'd like to help with the
preparation for this meeting, contact Joe Krovoza at jfkrovoza at gmail.com.

Last month the UC Davis Police Department launched BRRP.
No it's not related to fraternity beer consumption. It stands for Bike Right
Recognition Program, and rewards bicyclists riding correctly - using hand
turn signals, not speeding, stopping at stop signs, etc:
