[DB!-Announce] Reminder: Project Meeting this Wednesday Night

Do you want to help get more kids riding to school? How can bike hazards be
better addressed by the City?
Come get involved at tomorrow night's DB! Project meeting.
Wednesday January 14th, 7-9 pm, Davis Senior Center Activity Room (7th and A
St)

*Schools*
We will have short presentations by John Mott-Smith and school board member
Richard Harris on how bike programs can be part of the green schools
initiative and then focus on three topics that we feel are lacking in Davis
schools: bicycling to schools, bike parking at schools, and bicycle
education in schools.

*Hazards*
Since 2007, Davis Bicycles! has compiled a "100 Things To Fix" list of bike
infrastructure problems, some of them based on input from visitors to the
DB! table at the Saturday Farmers Market. DB! presented this list to the
city council, and met with Public Works staff on getting many fixes taken
care of. Many of the 100 Things still not finished have been included in the
new bike plan, but where do we go from here? There is a new Davis Wiki bike
hazard page, http://daviswiki.org/Bicycle_Hazards. Can this be integrated
into the 100 Things list? Come discuss these and other related issues with
Tara Goddard, bicycle coordinator for the City of Davis.
