Reminders:
* Davis Bicycles! Project Meeting, tomorrow (Wednesday) evening
* Fifth Street Corridor workshops this evening, Thursday and Friday this
week.


Davis Bicycles! Project Meeting, Wednesday, 7:00pm (For the location with
detailed directions, see below!)

The first hour of the meeting, from 7 to 8pm, will be devoted to planning
for a Davis community bicycle repair cooperative. The second hour will be
devoted to the Fifth Street corridor. A more detailed description of the

The Fifth Street Corridor workshops provide an opportunity to ask for better
accommodation for bicycles, and safety improvements along Fifth Street
through downtown Davis. Bicyclists attending the two workshops sponsored by
the Chamber of Commerce and Davis Downtown Business Association can remind
the business community that bikes are good for business, too!

The first workshop, hosted by Davis Chamber of Commerce and Downtown
Business Association is this evening from 5:00 to 6:30pm! Location: south
conference room, DJUSD admin. bldg., 526 B Street. See

Thursday 11/20, Friday 11/21, and the first week of December,12/4.


Detailed directions to Davis Bicycles! projects meeting:

The Baggins End Domes are on the UC Davis Campus West of La Rue and East of
highway 113, North of Hutchison Dr. and South of Russell.

>From the intersection of Russell and Anderson/La Rue head South on La Rue to
the first stoplight and turn right onto Orchard Park Circle. Head West on
Orchard Park Cir. to the first stop sign at the intersection of Orchard Park
Cir. and Orchard Park Dr. (Also, the bicycle/pedestrian bridge over highway
113 South of Russell runs directly into Orchard Park Cir; it is the most
direct bicycle route from West Davis.) The Domes community center is on the
southwest corner of the intersection, but the best entrance to the property
is about 100 yards west on Orchard Park Cir. The community center is a bit
hidden behind the domes, trees and gardens. Look for signs or one of us
there to greet arriving DB! members.

Bikes can be parked right outside the community center.
