To all Davis voters, for the election next Tuesday, June 3, Davis Bicycles!
has prepared a questionnaire on bicycle-related issue for the City Council
candidates. We are compiling their answers on our website.

Events this Saturday...

1. The 2008 UC Davis Habitat for Humanity Bike-a-thon, registration deadline
(through active.com) is this Thursday 5/29. This ride on Saturday morning is
a benefit to support the work of Habitat for Humanity of UC Davis. The
32-mile course begins at the Veterans Memorial Center in Davis, loops
through Winters and returns back to Davis. Ride check-in will be held
7:30-9am at the Veterans Memorial Center in Davis, where snacks will be
served. There will be an extended rest stop at the halfway point in Winters.
Riders are encouraged to relax and refuel for the second half of the ride.

2. Davis City Council candidate Sydney Vergis invites you to join her and
her supporters on a Bike Ride About Davis. Meet at 11:30 at Farmer's Market
to depart at 11:45; 12:15 at Village Homes gazebo. Ride duration is
approximately two hours. Additional meeting places: Arroyo Park playground,
Community Park tennis courts, the new E. Covell undercrossing between
Monarch and Alhambra. Ride ends at about 2:15 at Sudwerk. (This is not a
candidate endorsement; Davis Bicycles! provides information on political
issues and candidates, but makes no endorsements.)
