I spoke briefly at the City Council meeting tonight. I encouraged them to keep up the forward progress, and make sure that they keep listening to the bicyclists in town. That means ya'all need to keep _Speaking_ _Up_! Show up at City Council meetings, talk to them at the Farmers' Market, send them emails and letters, tell them you want to see bicycles given a higher priority in Davis--attend to the needs of bicyclists, promote bicycles, install more bikeracks, fix problems etc. And I encouraged them all to ride bikes themselves. Remember--the squeaky wheel gets the grease!

Don Saylor and Lamar Heystek both spoke favorably on our proposal for naming the 14th/Villanova corridor the "Frank and Eve Child Bikeway"

Does anyone want to copilot a U-Haul to Portland this weekend? I'll pay return airfare for a good traveling companion.
