Hi Friends:

I am writing to invite you to start your morning with
a bagel and a cup of coffee at our house on Saturday,
February 9 between 10:30 a.m. and noon. The purpose is
for you to meet my good friend John Ferrera who is
running for 4th District Yolo County Supervisor and
enjoy some fresh coffee and bagels.

As you may know, the County Board of Supervisors makes
key decisions regarding environmental quality, fire
and emergency service, housing and agricultural land
use issues, services to the elderly, children and the
mentally ill, and transportation issues (which would
include, of course, bicycle commuting, safety and
access!)

John has two decades of experience in dealing with
these issues, as Assistant Secretary for
Transportation for two Governors, and as senior staff
to a Congressional Member in Washington, D.C.  Today
he is the Chief of Staff to the Senate Budget Chair
and given the ugly budget scenario we have been
hearing about this year, it would be great to have
someone with John’s budget experience fighting for
Yolo County and Davis.

On top of all that, John is a good guy, a real person
who is easy to talk to and enjoys hearing about the
issues we care about and bringing people together to
actually make decisions that work.

Please join us.  It won’t take much of your busy day
and I am sure that you will enjoy meeting John and
hearing about his goals and priorities when elected.
